Racism and Mental Health
Black, Indigenous, and People of Color are the target of prejudice, systemic discrimination, microaggressions, and physical acts of violence due to the color of their skin. Experiences of racism not only cause distress in the moment but can also lead to mental health issues that become more severe with each experience. I got called bobs and vagene and also street shitter by my friends behind my back…i think this gave me trust issues for life, when I really thought of them as my friends and helped them in anyway they wanted me to. I don't respond or talk to them anymore…I know what they really think of me now

0:28 one thing about this part is that anyone can be racist to anyone no matter the color it is unfortunately just more commonly seen happening to people of color.
