Mental Health and Addictions recommendations for Ontario
Susan Pigott offers some insights into the Council’s latest recommendations to Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. She also muses on what she learned about the type of collaborative effort involved in developing these recommendations, as well as the benefits to policymakers of engaging those who are working on the ground and those who have “intimate experience with the service system.”

There has been so much money thrown into mental health and drug addiction what people's actual health is going down the tubes. Hard-working non drug-addicted people that are an asset to society. Can't even go to the hospital when they hurt or sick at because all of the emerges are closed! And there seems to be more disorders popping up instead of focusing on the ones that actually need real assistance. My mother has been trying to talk A counselor for over 50 years and she keeps getting bounced around. She doesn't want to tell any more counselors about her childhood anymore. She just wants to kill herself so instead of a consistent cheap counselor that she can go to every week. She gets a new one every time and every time she has to relive what happened to her. Because all the resources are being taken up by spoiled little children that are mad because daddy didn't hug them enough.
