VA Boston is an integrated clinical service that serves the mental health needs of veterans as well as the larger population. The facility takes to the veteran community to gather data on how to treat the individual, developing programs from this research, Universities and individual care. These programs, though specialized, overlap with one another, giving the patient the opportunity to work with a team of psychiatrists. The VA Boston is one of the largest and highest-ranked VA programs, while also having the largest research portfolio in the country.
