I didn't even know we had a fucking month..man,the world really doesn't need us,huh. Ain't that the most shittiest feeling
Ah yes a young buff guy on the internet surely he has all the appropriate life experience for such a heavy topic. 0/10, be better off getting information on mental health from a more credible source, psychologist, therapist etc –people who don't know everything and would say so, not some guy wearing a tiny polo.
This post is for the depressed african Americans
I'm depressed
See yourself as inferior like we all are then work on it and the progress will make you feel good. Suffering, progress, bit of happiness then repeat.
I'm so glad I'm not a man.
This is an incredibly naïve view of make mental health. Telling men to man up leads to suicides. And since when were CEOs known for their positive mental health? When was the last time you saw these guys really laugh? have all the money and influence you want, without laughter you're going to be unhappy and unfulfilled.
Ah yes, pop psychology doing wonders once again.
A kid knocking on my door to apologize would annoy me more than riding his bike across my lawn.
Woman are made to feel capable and powerful when they need to feel loved and accepted.
It doesn’t fit for us either.
Helpful discussion.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5)
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. (Psalms 145:17-20)
Two lasting impressions from my dad. Suffering is good for the soul and integrity will allow you to sleep well at night.
99% of depression can be handled by eating clean, lifting weights, and having gratitude.
I've not subscribed to this channel but the algorithm keeps presenting me with vidoes and I've watched a few. I think I've decided that this isn't for me. There's definitely research informed conversations, and that's interesting, but it's wrapped up in the presenter's image of fitting this new age influencer stereotype, which appears to be about conveying a very disciplined, strong outlook. There's an elitism and air of superiority that doesn't sit right. Open to being persuaded otherwise.
As a female, I can tell you that this treatment doesn’t work for us either. Or maybe it would if people actually cared and accepted us. But they don’t.
So your dad grabbed you violently. Nice. Anyway, i agree with the general thrust. But that dads a bust.
Gym rats as psych docs? pass.
No one owes you anything for being weak! Stop sugar coating it! Cause you are digging in our pockets out of being pathetic!
So that's what's to blame for my saggy man boobs then?
This guy is an absolute sociopath. Kind of par for the course when becoming a CEO, I suppose.
I believe what he may be trying to say is valuable- 1. you should have the capacity for self-criticism, 2. its often best to accept things beyond your control and focus on acting in the best way within your control. However, without further context what he says here can be a one way road to total psychological dysfunction. 'what are you going to do about it?' in many contexts will create deep shame in a child that could linger for decades to come, especially if that message is repeated many times in such contexts
I think its really interesting to see how different people can be in regards to the things they prefer to hear or thr things that help and inspire them. Personally, i have a different perspective from this gentleman. I've also been an emotional person, and for me, if someone would ask me what to do to fix the problem that i was upset about? I'd likely get more upset. I have often to have xomfort over advice or motivation because i prefer to find solutions after being comforted and feeling accepted and heard.
Awesome
We need more parenting like that nowadays
My depressive episodes get treated like male depression
No one truly cares. All they want is the happy version of me…. Even when I open up, I feel guilty or ashamed. So I end up hiding, dealing with them on my own; which has caused me to feel deep loneliness
Good father
