  1. Thank you for this message. My family was in conflict because we falsely believed we weren't praying hard enough, or our faith was lacking in some way. Bless you.

  2. This a great, exceptional discourse on such an important topic, I never want to allow myself to feel the emotions of hurt and disappointment and rejection. I try to change my thoughts but these tools discussed here is so practical. This is really good and useful discussion rooted in the Word of God. Am not sure though of what to make of suicide as God taking that person all the way under the waves.

  3. Dr. Phillips – THANK YOU for giving us permission to experience our emotions. Growing up in church we were taught to shove past our feelings in order to be 'holy.' For example, if you expressed sorrow for some reason – the attitude you'd get in response would be, 'Well you SHOULDN'T be sad if you have Jesus!'

  4. I appreciate your humility and sorry that you lost your dad that way.

In that group of women I can see where you’re needed and hope that there’s more room…aka, prideful people cause claustrophobia for introverts regardless of their skin color.

  5. I am your little sister. I have struggled for the many years of my life. But I have been listening to your channel, I am always encouraged and I hope I also get the chance to be an encouragement to other believers. Mental health issues are real. I am not able to control my emotions and this could be rooted in my family. I have got serious anger issues. Whenever I am provoked I burst out in anger. In my own opinion anger are related with pride. We always don't want to be the offendees, offended. That's why we lose it when provoked. I am working on myself so that I can be able to change others lovingly. Pray for me to overcome my challenges and struggles.

  6. This is so wonderful. I have been married to a man who has been plagued by chemical imbalances for our entire 31 year marriage. He resisted medication because our spiritual sphere said he was weak, he didn't pray enough, his faith was weak. He desperately tried to pray more, speak in tongues more, believe more, read more Word, but he still was so lost. Our home has been a chaotic mess. He started meds in June of 2011 and was finally able to see the reality of his problem. He has struggled every day to grow and change. In May of 2024, our counselor suggested he change meds as he had developed tolerance being on the same meds for 13 years. He switched meds and he is able to think clearly for the 1st time in his entire 53 years. He is my hero. I know no other man who has worked as hard as he has to overcome. I was ready to leave him at the end of 2023. I had had it. But God. He said, "wait". I waited and 6 months later we got our miracle. We are on a journey right now. Fighting the good fight. Putting past pain behind us. Forgiving him for his behavior. God has a plan. Grateful.

  7. 1:17:05 Thank you for sharing your faith with all of us. A big shout out to Sheila Walsh thank you for your courage and for following the call on your life. I have fond memories of Women of Faith and always looked forward to attending when your name was listed as a speaker. For all of you experiencing thyroid issues make sure your doctors test you for Hashimoto Disease. It is an autoimmune disease . My dr was able to catch my thyroid cancer early with my history of Hashimoto Disease by ordering a thyroid sonogram which detected nodules which after a biopsy a thyroid cancer diagnosis was made. Cancer free a year later praise God! Stay strong and continue to spread the good news!

  8. Wow Ladies sooo powerful!!! Thank you so much for this ministry. I hit rock bottom for years with depresion, very dark time, and my faith and the power of my God got me out…❤

  9. I’m not sure why people say God cares about mental health. God is the creator of all things he created my soul and created my soul journey which includes a lot of painful things that impact my mental health, so please do not say God cares about our mental health. God is just a powerful source of darkness and light. God is everything.

  10. Sorry I have asked questions. I have been helped from you dear woman. Thanks Dr Anita. Praying Romans 8:37-39. Reading his word even though going to mental hospital 3x's. I will have hope again.

  11. Sheila I hear "I press on" healing from depression or bi polar. I love this 💖!!! Amen. (I am Romans to study Paul thanks this information ladies. Read and shed light on the battle. He is the only healing. You are all amazing for The Lord! 💕🙏.

  12. These conversations have helped me tremendously! It's freeing! The last 3 months I was kicked out of my apartment for unfair reasons, my brother overdosed and passed away, my father passed 33 days later and so much more. This has been a season of endurance, steadfastness and patience while recovering from this immense grief. The way I was raised and becoming a believer 9 years ago I've only known to not show feelings not give in to your emotions. But that's a lie! What makes the difference is giving it all the God. It's ok to not be ok. It's okay to be filled with joy one moment and crying your eyes out the next! God made us with all the things. We always fall shirt in ourselves but with God we lack no good thing!

  13. I have been through a mental health life and I have taken medication for 24 yrs. But instead of going crazy and in mentally stressed out I had to and is learning to come to Christ and just learn of him. I still am going through some struggles. But I've asked God who am I. So I pray and read and ask the Holy Spirit for help. Thank you Jesus

  14. This was such a blessing. God bless Sheila, wow her story is so inspiring. Honestly her story was freeing in a sense of I could resonate.
I absolutely absolutely love Dr Anita she brings so much wisdom and knowledge and I learn so much from her. I am so glad we have someone like her in the Christian sector because her discoveries on mental health and emotions are so needed in general but especially the Christian sector.
This video was so refreshing and freeing. Well done to these beautiful women.
