4 to 6 Back to back to back deploy will make anyone crazy. Marriage failure, suicide and addiction has a lot to do with the military asking soooo much of a small volume soldiers & family… Also, Military was telling my unit that men who think they are women is normal and healthy. NO!! It is still an disorder and classified as such but the Army goes along with radical left-wing agenda in spite of science saying other wise.. Army will need a lot more 68X
What about a shout out to the Navy? We are in the same class as all of these people (infact I was in the exact same class of all of these people in the video 3 years ago) but we also go through corps school (68W school also known as A school) and Field Medical Training Battalion (advanced 68W course) as well as SERE and alot other schools. All together i got about 40 collage credits towards a degree compared to the army where 68X's only get around 20 and they don't get civilian certified unlike the navy where we are civilian certified. Go NAVY if you want this career, NOT ARMY.
This MOS is perfect for me!! I’ve always felt that I had a calling when it comes to helping others. For many years now, I’ve been the person that everyone comes to talk to when things in their life gets tough. Even random people that I’ve just met tell me how easy it is for them to tell me their life story without feeling judged. I’m a natural empath! This is the job I’m choosing when I join!!
Had this MOS 67 – 70. Was named 91G20 during that time. Spent a year in Nam dealing with drug reactions, PTSD and combat wounds. Never did a MMPI, WAS or DAP after Ft. Sam Houston. Spent my last year doing stress studies at Natick Labs in Natick, Mass
Um so in US, Canada and most EU countires, counselling or psychological testing requires a masters degree.. how is 17 weeks of occupational training sufficient enough to do case management or test interpretation?
A wonderful, challenging, and very rewarding MOS. Definitely not for everyone but this MOS could be a great stepping stone for further medical training or psychological studies in the civilian world.
I was the old Army Behavioral Science Specialist 91G2Z – it’s a very challenging MOS and requires excellent communication and writing skills. Mainly you Must remain calm and deescalate in traumatic situations. I got my Drug and Alcohol Certification during my first enlistment. I also did research and our research ultimately was published and is still referred to today. I never regretted my choice.

I wish I knew this mos existed when I became a 92y.
Does this translate good for civilian life?
do you get any college credits for this MOS???
this mos is about to be removed. do not consider this MOS unless you are prepared to pass all the physical and technical skills of 68W.

If you want a solid career in the military, don’t go to behavioral health.
