Therapists, counselors, psychologists and social workers! Here’s a quick tip to writing mental health treatment plans that are faster AND clinically better.

Use your treatment plans as a clinical tool and something that is truly meaningful to your therapy work with clients. It doesn’t have to be a boring form you do just because you think have to!

  1. I find it difficult to have enough time to build rapport and create the treatment plan in session. Any ideas on how to do this? Also, how would this look — do we ask them for interventions too or just goals and objectives? If you could make a more detailed video about this I think it would be so helpful.

I am literally a patient who spends about three sessions developing a treatment plan with my therapist because I overthink and came here looking for some tips to make it just simpler and easier and for not me to complicate things. I have to do this every 6 months and it's stressful and makes me feel more like a failure because I don't feel like I've met Michaels in the ways I want to meet them and I always over exaggerate what I can do within a 6-month period or what I want to do.

  3. I’ll try this ASAP. I do too much writing at home and have 0 time to myself. I hate typing in front of clients but it’s necessary to get it done nowadays.
