  1. "It's in your head" is such a gut wrenching trigger phrase for me. 🤣 These people need a solid 2 minutes in my body and brain and they'd be traumatized for years.

  2. You say this, but at least where I am from this was exactly how all illnesses were treated a bit more than half a century ago.

    My grandfather in his early 50s, was scolded by his brother for not taking sugar in his tea in public as it could be interpreted as an admission of illness.

    He had just been given a diagnosis of diabetes.

  3. This is how my mom treats physical illness…says its "psychosomatic" (even as im recovering from a major surgery known to cause a lot of pain in recovery…)

  4. The last one is pretty accurate tho, i have joint problems and just because they hurt so often people stop waiting for me to recover when i need to sit down and they just keep walking and i have to keep going despite the pain 🙁
