  1. Being recently diagnosed with Quiet BPD I've been trying to find out how I can use DBT to help myself. This is now like the 8th video I've seen on DBT that only repeats general, vague, nonsubstantive platitudes. Has anyone actually read a book or seen a video or visited a website that tells you what, specifically DBT consists of? What are its principles? What are its tools? What are its methods?

I mean, the title of this video is "What is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy"? Well, I've watched it twice and I still have no idea. "Some people have BPD. DBT can help." Great, BUT WHAT IS DBT?

  2. This makes me feels like I might have some hope. I'm tearing up because I'm so worried about being disappointed and failing again, even when I try my best.

  3. Whoever wrote the script for this video should be absolutely fired. The first 97 seconds of this video or a complete waste of time, and then the rest is barely informative. Do some actual research.

  4. I've been in and out of mental facilities recently and fucking nothing is helping. I want to kill myself all the time and I had an episode yesterday. I am familiar with CBT. I was recommended DBT. I am just so done living and not being strong enough for this world. I was only recently diagnosed with BPD and it makes a lot of sense because of how I feel and have felt for years and all my shitty trauma.

  5. I'm 60. I don't qualify as a young person. 😥 the pain is just as intense and ive been dealing with it for decades. Old people cant be helped? 🫤
