  2. I've learned more about sleep than I have from any sleep health practitioner in less than 6 minutes. Psychologists & psychiatrists often project instead of listening. None of them were able to relay, or even know, what I know now from this video.

    1. ASMR is one of the best discoveries I've made for relaxation. Gentle Whispering ASMR is highly recommended. With that being said, it requires discipline to not get sucked into social media, including YT, when accessing it for ASMR.
    2. Yoga & meditation also helps. Yoga nidra meditations are great. I just find myself becoming too reliant on them sometimes, so I switch up which video I listen to or just do yoga.
    3. Reading, journaling & drinking tea (valerian root knocks me out) is also part of my bedtime routine.
    4. Keeping the phone as far away from my bed as possible.
    5. These are all habits that can help, but I have to remind myself that structure isn't all-important. I rebel against myself. Sometimes looking into our background & figuring out the root of the problem helps more.
    Before I go to sleep, I tell myself to remember my dreams. Our dreams tell us a lot about how we're interpreting our lives subconsciously. I journal first thing in the morning because a moment later, I'll forget what I dreamt. It may make sense to us alone why we dream what we dream. It's indicative of stressors, irrational thoughts, desires, happiness… Dreams are the beans.

  3. Our collapsing ''civilization'' denigrates sleep, and dreams. 'Nuff said. I don't even change positions when I awake, until I've remembered as much of the details of my dreams as possible. All day long, I take joy in little replayed dream scenes that some happenstance causes me to recall. Lucid dreaming is a joyous path, I cultivate instinctively!
