Occupational Therapy Practice: Mental Health

Celso Delgado, Jr., a USC Occupational Therapy Alumni, now works with children and adolescents in community-based mental health programs. In this video he talks about his practice. Celso is one example of what it means to be an occupational therapist.

  1. Most community-based mental heath programs receive funding so that they are free for participants. (From the Department of Mental Health, private institutions, etc).

  2. wow I thought that social workers where the ones that dealt with this stuff. I'm interested in this career because it combines not only therapy but a variety of other different things such as cooking and art as activities to help people's mental health.
