  1. It is good to start with healthy whole food low carb diet and slowly if needed move to keto diet, the difference is just cutting the carbs more , by then you might not need to add more fat when your body has adapted to burning fat for fuel! There is lots of learning! Eventually your food menu will be very simple and a few good healthy ingredients, when eating one or two meals a day and you want to include all good nutrition, you have less choice which make your job easier!!! Eggs, cheese, avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, high quality protein, high quality vegetables! 👍🏻🥗🏃🏼‍♂️

  2. For people who say the diet is too restrictive – wait until you try fasting! It’s actually way easier to just not think about food and get more ketones, more clarity and go about your day, saving time and energy buying food, preparing it, cleaning up after it, and pooping! It’s the ultimate life hack.

  3. Verbalistic figures of speach , searching needles in the haste anb chit chat , do not help anyone with REAL psychic-consciens illness, maybe they will help People with secondary disturbances.
Maria Antuaneta said it perfectly… If you dont have bread to eat….eat pandispanje ….so let your big pharma doctor to coach you to metabolic cure and salvation …!!!

  4. 8 weeks into strict keto (daily blood ketones around 2.6 mmol). Doing it for anxiety/depression/ocd/fatigue/depersonization/ASD/severe adult onset motor/vocal tics. Hasn't improved anything yet infact tics are worse. Been unable to leave the house or drive the past 3 years due to illness. I noticed an energy/mania surge the first week and low sleep which disappeared after 10 days. Only benefit for me so far is I'm not always hungry whereas before the diet going a long time without food was impossible. Despite effectively only eating grass fed beef/green veg/onions/garlic/eggs/almond/some nuts my gut is still just as terrible as when I was on a heavy sugar diet. Hopefully it works soon as I haven't even noticed a 5% improvement. Here's hoping a switch flicks overnight between now and 3 months. Only 34 years old, didn't even have a single tic until age 18 now I have around 2000 jerks/shouts a day. Very jealous of the lady who reversed her schizophrenia after 2 weeks on keto at age 70. Tbh the anxiety improved after going pure whole foods last year ( was still high sugar) everything else is unfortunately still very severe. Hard to believe cutting out all grains/sugar/chocolate/lollies/ice cream/chocolate milk etc has done zilch. I heard of all the various miracles of cutting out sugar for 30 days from various functional medicine podcasters… not for me lol, I've been sugar free for 5 months! If no improvement soon I'm going to adopt Will Bulisewicz's diet or follow the supergut protocol as my gut diversity has become far lower since keto according to my microbiome metagenomics tests. I'd give up the diet today but I've read too many testimonies from keto/carnivore, but not sure if most of these people are really mentally ill or self diagnosing themselves (ie just have social anxiety/introversion). I've noticed 95% of these anecdotes from reddit/youtube are from people who can still hold jobs and their main complaint is not being able to order anything at a restaurant. For example that Peterson apparently had bedridden arthritis but somehow was still able to get married twice. Then there's the homestead show guy who claims he could'nt leave his shed (essentially what I'm like everyday), searched his channel and pre carnivore he's building clotheslines and heaps of other things. I think they're overstating their conditions.

  5. This is such a powerful set of interviews. I am looking into keto for migraine management and getting so much good info from this channel, even though it focuses more on mental health. I also have depression and anxiety, though.

  6. I quit the carbs cold turkey and it was very much like opioid withdrawal, pure hell for a week. After the messy part was over, it felt as if I had found a superpower. Do It and never look back.

  7. Is it the liver or kidney that gets damaged by insulin resistance???…
Anyway, one of them gets damaged and it takes a long time to heal them back into propper functioning….about 5 years apparently.

  8. Is this diet any good for Ocd and anxiety disorders? I know its not a magic pill, im looking to get some sort relief because i really dont want to try medication.

  9. There are no health care providers, doctors or dieticians wanting to help in Europe. I have done everything on my own and yes, I experienced a quite
unpleasant episode with blood pressure medication and some other I will not publish here.
But the pay off, the rewards (plural) are so profound and unthinkable that there is no incentive to go back to eating any carbs at all. Ever.
