  1. Oh my gosh you have no idea how helpful this was. I thought to myself “did I miss the lesson on the difference between a goal and an objective?” This was so validating.

  2. I just watched this video. I was taught to do goals, objectives, and interventions for treatment plans. Since your saying goals and objectives are the same do you recommend doing goals and interventions only and exclude objectives?

  3. I always understood goals to indicate what the therapist and patient were working on together. Objectives are what we are trying to get the patient to do to reach the goal. Interventions is more what the therapist does to help the patient meet their objectives and ultimately the goal

  4. I work for a small company; we are just switching to SMART goals and the CEO of the company (not licensed) argues with me all the time about needing objectives. I have taken numerous trainings and watched numerous videos that say that an objective is not necessary. We bill Medicaid as a company and she thinks she knows EVERYTHING. I am going to show her this video that says otherwise
