  1. This is an important topic. I would definitely engage with a series/ YouTube channel that explored the impact of constructed public spaces on public health. Hopefully, we can hear more from this presenter

  2. I dislike so much modern architecture. We have made many town and cities look miserable and harsh. We definitely underestimate the effect it has upon us. If you want people to care about where they live, give them a reason to.

  3. I definitely notice how different my state of mind and wellbeing is when I live with my mum in a rundown area compared to my friend's house who has trees and birds everywhere and a clear show that money has been invested in the aesthetic of the area. Architecture and streetscape make a huge impact!

  4. well spoken, Sir. I feel you should know that since the socialist marxist movement, art and all forms of it were taken over to make capitalism seem evil so that people would choose socialism and communism. Now days, they lie and say that commercialism is the same as capitalism, it is not. But traitors in all governments have made sure that monopolies exist, medical costs are high, medical care is limited to the rich, and that the classes hate each other or are estranged. It's called, divide and conquer.

  5. Well why don’t you tell the contractors to stop rejecting our designs and stop thinking solely on economics and you might end up with more buildings built for humanity like the Barbican…

  6. Sir! I tale my hat off to you, for thinking about challenges, researching such topics, sharing your insights and the implications of these concepts. I hope learn from you and work with you someday 🙂 please keep making videos!

  7. Articulated exactly how I have felt for so long. Growing up on a council estate and seeing the new builds going up, taking up beautiful green spaces, and countless grey, harsh-lined flats, sky scrapers and flats look so ugly and oppressive to me. Nature really does need to be incorporated into all architecture. I hope plans can be made to improve how these look now.

  8. Pretty sure this is all in peoples' heads who are just paranoid and spending too much time indoors. The architecture and urban design in the UK and around Europe is marvellous compared to in America. If you really want to see architecture and urban design that is messed up, and messes people up, go to America. In the UK, the architecture is VERY welcoming and very charming, with lots of history and detail behind it, and lots of cosy local coffee and sandwich shops to sit down in. Zoning laws are very friendly and flexible for both residential and commercial spaces, being closely knit together, and allowing a combination of both in some cases, while in the USA, you may have to drive for hours just to do shopping, with barely any walkways for pedestrians – walking on the streets is akin to a death sentence. Streets in the UK meander like rivers and aren't just a rigid rectangular grid that feels imprisoning like literally EVERYWHERE in America. Towns and cities in the UK and Europe by contrast are very organic in how they developed. Let's please try to be more appreciative of what you already have. It might not be perfect, but you won't realize how good it was until it's all taken away from you.
