  1. There's a lot of great info here, but there are some statements made as facts that are incorrect. For example, many psychiatrists are trained in psychotherapy even if they do not offer it in their medical setting; EMDR and other trauma therapies do help children with emotional struggles form the past and change behavior in the here-now. That only behavior therapies are evidence-based is simply incorrect, and since foster care parents are being forced to watch this video and dealing with traumatized children it is crucial accurate information be presented! Trauma healing is more than behavioral.
