Virtual Reality (VR) has been used for two decades to treat a variety of mental illnesses effectively. Recent technological developments in VR are offering even more potential. Embodied and immersive VR is being explored to treat body image disorders and psychosomatic illnesses. It also has potential to rewire implicit and unconscious beliefs and cognition that are especially important in mood and psychotic disorders.     Amazing. Is there a large company that is partnering with them for these developments? Apple? Microsoft? Google? If not, there definitely should be support from a tech company about this.

    My phobias/fears are real. I want to go camping or hiking alone, but I know its not safe. Airplane rides 30k above Earth for any amount of time seems insane too. And people die doing it occasionally. I suppose we only get emotionally thru vulnerable activities by checking out. Literally handing over the wheel. All suffering exists from within.

    Wow! (At first this was hard to get through since there were a lot of scientific terminology used but pushed through it and am so glad I did), cuz this was really intriguing! I learned a lot not only about VR but also can really see how this could be very helpful in treatment of mental illness and how it would help stimulate retraining of the brain, and most likely quicker than older techniques of CBT and similar therapies. Also sounds like a great tool for helping doctors determine diagnosis quicker and more accurately, as well as give them deeper insight into reactions of the patient. I want this to be an option for doctors/patients to integrate it into treatment. I hope the research on this continues and that it gets the funding it needs. What a great job looking to the future and taking full hold of the new technologies we have and putting them into play and imagining and using them to their full potential for good! Wow! Exciting times.

    You can't get them stable. lol There is no fix all for psychosis. No medication can normalize a person's behaviors, and there's no guarantee the patient won't quit taking their meds. Psychiatrists are a false hope. The doctors make billions of dollars off these sick human beings.

    They'll lie straight to a person's face and tell them they are giving them a new med, when in reality its an "older medication" bearing a new name. Its all one big joke. Psychiatrists don't care about the patients. They care about the money they are making.

    I want to quickly drop this vital information here for those who are infected with Herpes, being infected with herpes is not the end as there is a cure to it with natural roots and herbs.     Hello everyone, Words cannot describe how happy i am today after been cured from the herpes disease that i have be suffering from over 4 years now.
